【About this album】
2022年から2024年の２年間で配信リリースした音源の中から、スタジオ音源のみをコンプリート！Ska/ReggaeとJAZZがFunkyに融合したエキゾチックサウンドが生まれた軌跡をたどる1st Album。
MONKYによるオリジナル11曲と、日本の名曲『りんご追分』とSkaの有名曲『A Message to You Rudy』を収録。
レコーディングはメンバー4人による一発録りで、バンドがシンクロしていく一体感と興奮をそのままパッキング！
ミックスはMONKYと音響エンジニアの巨匠・田中三一が共同で作り上げ、マスタリングも田中三一。Dubの巨匠、内田直之も4曲を担当。
バンドが目の前で演奏しているかのような、立体感のある音像を体感してください。
アートワークを担当しているのは、パリで開催されたアートフェス2023でも大好評を博した話題のイラストレーター、苦虫ツヨシ。

2022年結成。元Black Bottom Brass Bandのサックス奏者MONKYをフロントに、関西バンドシーンで大活躍のオルガン奏者 岩井ロングセラー、ドラムに梅本浩亘、ベースに高木記明という強力なリズムセクションを擁する。
ジャズとスカ・レゲエがファンキーに融合したエキゾチック・ファンクバンド。
2022年には神戸・大阪で主催イベント「ファンク横丁」「エキゾチック横丁」を大成功させ話題に。2023年2月からは新曲を毎月配信リリースし、海外の反響も多くリスナーを拡大中。
2023年7月に1st Singleとなる7inch Vinyl『A Message to You Rudy』を家永吹産よりリリース。

Formed in 2022. Fronted by former Black Bottom Brass Band saxophonist MONKY, the band features a strong rhythm section: organist Iwai Longseller, who is very active in the Kansai band scene, Hironobu Umemoto on drums, and Noriaki Takagi on bass.
Exotic funk band with a funky fusion of jazz, ska and reggae.
In 2022, he hosted “Funk Yokocho” and “Exotic Yokocho” events in Kobe and Osaka, which were a huge success and became a hot topic of conversation, and since February 2023, he has been releasing a new song every month for distribution, and is expanding his listenership with many international responses.
In July 2023, he released his first single, a 7-inch vinyl titled “A Message to You Rudy” from Ienaga Suisan.

【About this album】
This is the first album that traces the birth of the exotic sound that is a funky fusion of Ska/Reggae and Jazz.
The album includes 11 original songs by MONKY, the Japanese classic “Ringo Oiwake” and the famous Ska song “A Message to You Rudy”.
The recording was a one-shot recording by the four band members, which captures the excitement and sense of unity as the band synchronizes with each other!
The mixing was done jointly by MONKY and master sound engineer Sanichi Tanaka, and mastering was also done by Sanichi Tanaka, with Dub master Naoyuki Uchida also in charge of four songs.
Experience the three-dimensional sound image as if the band is playing right in front of you.
The artwork is by Tsuyoshi Bitterbee, a much talked-about illustrator who received great acclaim at Art Fest 2023 in Paris.
